If you register a business which is purely online, can you claim things like adwords/ msn, yahoo and other advertising, domains, hosting and other things online and offline for tax deductions? Thanks

    Yes, you can deduct these expenses as long as you have proof you paid them – so make sure you print out and keep invoices/receipts for them.

    You should be able to it can qualify as business expense,

    Yes, any expenses that are business related are deductible regardless whether your business ‘exists’ only online. The internet-related expenses you mentioned definitely are, as well as any legal or registration fees (ie, dba, trademark, servicemark fees) that you might incur in your state, office supplies, etc.

    Also you can write off the business percentage of your computer, even if it’s not new…you’re converting it to some business use.
