How do I to claim deductions for self-employment business expenses incurred in China on my 2009 tax filing, specifically Internet fees I paid to Chinese service provider in Chinese Yuan?

    Same way as you would claim them on work done in the US — self-employment goes on Schedule C.

    BTW, Internet access isn’t deductible unless you can prove that it’s exclusively for business use. Since it’s impossible to allocate between business and personal use the IRS will normally deny the deduction.
