What is the value of a used printer? Key word is used? Is it the value of what you would find on eBay or Amazon….or a deprecation of the original purchase cost…but the product changed hands.
This printer costed supposedly 0 when it was first purchased – 2004. (2004 is considered old!) I now can get it new one Amazon for 0 but I can buy it used on eBay for . So how much would a tax receipt be worth? 0 less 10% per year for business depreciation, 0 for a new one but it isn’t new, or for the fair market value for a used one on eBay?
Anyone have any ideas?
Well – problem is I am being told it is worth if I donate it..and I feel it is worth 9 because of the depreciation. I am donating this to a nonprofit organization. They can find it on eBay for used and 0 new on Amazon. So, how much should I expect a receipt for? Does that make sense?
But they are not buy it…it would be an in kind donation. They don’t feel it is as worth as much as I do since they can find a new one on Amazon for 0 and on eBay for . In 2004, I paid 0 for it. Yes, it is used. So, what is the right amount. I don’t want to write the wrong number off.
Hi
I started a small business in 2006. H&R block filled out a Schedule C for me. However in 2007, my business made no revenue({content}) and there are 3 expenses only. Business License Fee-0, and two ebay fees
So my business had a net loss of -0.
My question is do i have to fill out a Schedule C even though i had a loss and if i have to, will having a loss help me get a deduction?
I sell in ebay and made a total of ,064.99 I did not make any sales in my state (California) Only out of state sales. So I don’t owe any Taxes. Okay my question is that
Out of those K that I made in sales do I have to take away of what I had to pay for the item?
Example I sold a ring for ,000 but it costed me ,000 do I only claim ,000?
Do I claim what I paid for shipping that I had to pay for sending the item to my customer?
What do they mean by deductions? Thanks
My business has several divisions that operate as unique businesses on their own and are completely unrelated to each other except for operating under one business name. One is a network marketing division, one is eBay sales, and another is providing an online service. Can I take tax deductions for the expenses incurred for all three of these functions? I have also bought books that relate to each of these such as books on eBay marketing, network marketing, and books related to the service I offer. Are all these tax deductible?
Do I report for all three divisions on one form?
I have a business, which i couldnt attend to this year and it has 0 in losses and {content} in revenue. Making it a Net Loss of 0.
Out of the 0, 0 was for the business licenses, ebay fee’s.
My question is will i be able to claim this 0 as a deduction on my personal income tax, because i will be filing my business tax with my personal tax.
Let’s say I made 00 in profit from my ebay sales last fiscal year. I bought a computer monitor that year for 0, so can I directly subtract that from my revenue and therefore pay taxes only for the 00 that is left over?
Or do you subtract only a percentage of business expenses in a tax deduction?
thanks
I have been selling items that I own (that are laying around the house) on eBay. I have also made bulk purchases that I intend to resell. I am curious as to what kind of tax deductions I can use on my taxes next year.
Although you can declare the sale on eBay as a subsidiary of eBay, the possibility exists that the IRS will treat your sale on eBay as a hobby, even if the states as a business in your tax return.
The IRS considered a business if the company makes a profit for three consecutive years, including this. For companies that are or newer businesses that make money in a few years, and losing money in the next, the IRS uses a "facts and circumstances" test to determine whether to treat as a business. They look at factors such as …
• How you are organized to record keeping and corporate accounts
• If you have formed a legal entity, as a SRL (Society Liability Company limited) to your company and comply with laws that apply to corporations.
• If you regularly work a number hours in your company
• If the activity is by its nature, very good or funny. Basically, you decide whether treat your eBay business as a hobby or as a business for tax. But the IRS decides whether you are a hobby or a real economic activity, after conducting an audit.
When you try your eBay business as a company during an audit the IRS decides that you are business is a hobby, what more can business deductions or losses that might have claimed.
Even if you win money from your eBay business last year, you can always treat your eBay selling as a hobby, but you report income (profits) from sales on eBay in the "Other income" on Form 1040 and pay taxes on this money if you do not have losses to offset hobby gain (or fail enough losses to offset income leisure full).

What I have to do about taxes if I sold a car for $ 10.00 on eBay?
If I sell a car on the need eBay to collect taxes? I'm having trouble if I do not know if they have to collect taxes, how much I charged? and I have to pay taxes? I do not know anything of this kind of thing.
I hope that means sales $ 10,000 ……. Taxes: As the cars are owned title, the new owner of the car sales will have to pay when registering the car. Unless you are a distributor and sold to someone your country of residence, not to charge sales tax. Income Tax: If you sold the car to a loss of what was originally paid for it, there are no tax consequences. If it was a personal vehicle, the loss is not deductible. If you sell at a profit, the gain would reported in Appendix D
