Would this be an excellent version of "Hell" to send politicians to?

Day in, day out, for eternity, they need to file taxes for me:

Married filing jointly, 2 kids
One of us owns a small business
Income in 2 states (one being New York)
Home office deductions
Meals and travel expenses related to small business
Capital gains realized from stock sales
401k distribution from an old employer who corrected some math

They need to do all of this without the benefit of a tax professional or software to help. Just the IRS and it’s lovely forms and publications.

After spending a weekend doing our taxes – WITH help – I am certain this would be a special version of Hell which would make politicians wonder why they have created this crazy complicated monster.
It was both created and has evolved.

Every little stupid step and extra hoop is someone’s election promise brought to life.

MY NEW TAX REFORM IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Group – Income Range- % – Yearly taxes

1. 0 – 30,000 – 0% ({content})
2. 30,001 – 34,999 – 2% ( <= 0)

3. 35,001 – 39,999 – 2% ( <= 0)
4. 40,001 – 44,999 – 2% ( <= 0)
5. 45,001 – 49,999 – 2% ( <= 00)
6. 50,000+ – 2% ( Taking ,000 = 00)

Total Tax Revenue: ABOUT ,983,948,900 Billion before deductions.

REAL number, the math is on my Excel page

I used Year 2000 numbers.

and that doesnt include businesses

With ALL taxes (Individual Income Taxes, Corporate Income Taxes, Social Insurance Taxes, Excise Taxes, Estate and Gift Taxes, Customs Duties, Miscellaneous Receipts)…………..

The total revenue is 1.1 Trillion dollars.

Then if you CUT GOVERNMENT SPENDING!

Tax Question: Possible to have a greater $$ amount of itemized deductions than income?

Me and my friend were talking the other day and she was telling me about her taxes and it made me little worried. okay, she
owns a small business, married (spouse not employed) and a home. Her total wages (or AGI) is about ,000. She said itemized about ,000 (owns a home, and lots of charity donations). Is This Possible? Well doing the math in my head with net income of k thats k a month, no way house payments are less than that (plus food, etc). She telling me she has TONS of savings in their bank accounts. Is this possible??
